2008
Grants to LAMB in 2008 came to £77,500, of which:-
- £44,000 was for the Poor Fund.
- £26,800 for hospital running costs.
- £5,700 for hospital medical equipment.
- £1,000 for the further education of children of LAMB staff.
2007
Grants from LHCF to LAMB in 2007 (excluding the DFID funding) came to nearly £136,000. The main items were:-
- £51,000 for the Poor Fund.
- £46,000 for hospital running costs.
- £20,000 for the construction of a science laboratory fro LAMB school.
- £5,000 for other building costs and equipment, including the repair of the hospital generator.
- Over £13,000 for training and further education for LAMB staff.
2006
Total grants in 2006 were nearly £101,000, of which:-
- Over £33,000 was for the Poor Fund.
- £58,000 was for capital projects and equipment.
- £9,000 was for professional training for LAMB staff, including two distance learning courses at London University.
In addition more than £3,000 was spent in the UK for medical equipment for LAMB hospital.
2005
Thanks to its donors LHCF was able to make grants amounting to nearly £84,000 to the LAMB Project in 2005. Within this total the largest grants were:-
Nearly £33,000 for the Poor Fund. The average cost per patient is about £10 to £15; so this support paid for the treatment of about 2,700 people.
Nearly £44,000 towards the construction and equipment of buildings, including a new ward and new training centre.
Smaller grants were made for medical equipment and training and other charitable purposes. The Foundation also spent £1,700 on medical equipment delivered to the hospital from the UK.
